How to Add AHRI Ratings to Custom Equipment
This guide will walk you through adding AHRI details to your custom equipment matchups, making it easy to display efficiency ratings and energy savings information to customers.
Before You Begin
Adding AHRI ratings to custom equipment is permission-based.
To enable this, have an admin user:
Go to Office β Users
Select the desired user
Toggle on Can edit custom AHRI ratings
Click Save
How it Works
AHRI information is saved at the equipment combination level.
That means once you add AHRI details for a specific matchup (for example, condenser ABC + air handler XYZ), the ratings will automatically appear any time that same equipment combination is used in future proposals.
You only need to enter it once per matchup.
Adding AHRI Information to a Custom Bundle
First step is to make sure you have your custom bundles set-up (Learn more here about how to set up custom bundles)
Next, navigate to the proposal tab while building a consultation.
Locate the bundle you want to update and click Add AHRI.
4. Enter the applicable AHRI values:
The fields shown depend on your system type, but may include:
AC Certificate - The AHRI certification number for the entire matchup
HP Certificate - The AHRI certification number for the entire matchup
Furnace Certificate - The AHRI certification number for the furnace
Cooling Capacity (CC) - The cooling capacity rating
SEER2 - Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio
EER2 - Energy Efficiency Ratio
HSPF2 - Heating Seasonal Performance Factor
AFUE - Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency
5. After entering the necessary information click save and the AHRI information will now be displayed on the custom bundle:

Where Custom AHRI Information Appears
Your custom AHRI ratings will appear throughout the system wherever that equipment matchup is used:
On the Proposals tab when building a proposal
When editing a bundle
On the presented consultation comparison page
On presented and accepted proposals
On the Inspector
In the bundle manager
Custom AHRI Indicator
Custom AHRI ratings display a CUSTOM label to distinguish them from ratings pulled from the Watsco AHRI database.
This label:
Is visible when building a proposal and on the Inspector
Is not shown on consumer-facing proposal pages
This helps you quickly identify whether a rating was manually added or system-generated.
When Live AHRI Takes Precedence
If your custom equipment bundle happens to match an AHRI rating that already exists in the Watsco AHRI database, the system will automatically display the Watsco AHRI rating. This saves you time since the matchup is already verified. You won't be able to edit or remove live AHRI ratings, only custom ones.
