Sales Tax is a regulatory value applied by the state or federal government and is shown as a separate line item to the consumer. The Sales Tax in the OnCall Air Pricing Engine applies to the final cash price after Discounts, Rebates, and Add-ons.

Not all businesses are required or need to show Sales Tax value on the proposal, so for the majority of users that setting will be 0%.

Some proposals might require a specific Sales Tax. In that case, any user can update that value prior to presenting a proposal with the Flexible Sales Tax feature (read more).

Admin users have the ability to set up Sales Tax percentage values that should apply to all proposals by default.

How to setup Sales Tax

Step 1: Go to Office >> Pricing Engine >> Additional Pricing Settings

Step 2: Set your Sales Tax (%) to whatever it needs to be

Step 3: If you do not need to show the Sales Tax to your consumers, leave it at 0%

Step 4: Click Save.

Note: Updating the Sales Tax setting in the office, will apply to all proposals created after the edit. All current presented or accepted proposals will not be impacted.
