How does Lost status relate to close rate?

⚠️ Reported data always ignores TEST consultations ⚠️

The Lost status will not change the conversion rate, because we calculate it by dividing the number of accepted over the total number of proposals presented that you have created during a selected timeframe.

For example, if you have 30 proposals created in the last 7 days.

20 have a presented date, 10 are in accepted status, then the conversion rate is 10/20 = 50%.

The fact that 5 of those 20 are in Lost status, does not change the calculation.

The only way the numbers would change is if an admin marks any of the previously accepted consultations as Lost.

Let’s imagine that 2 of the accepted jobs were Lost for the reason being ‘Canceled’.

So we have 8 proposals in accepted status and 22 not accepted.

Then, the new conversion rate is 8/22 = 36%.

It’s important to note that the exact behavior happens when you Revert an Accepted proposal back to Presented (Unaccept).

So this confirms that using Lost status does not in any way misrepresent the company’s conversion rate.
