In 2023, AHRI introduced a new rating system, which is commonly referred to as “SEER2”. This new system requires that all AHRI-matched systems be tested (or re-tested) to calculate the new ratings for SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2.
In this article, we will refer to the previous AHRI ratings as the "Legacy ratings", and the new AHRI ratings as "M1 AHRI Ratings".
To make life easier for both the consumer and the contractor, all presented and accepted proposals will display both the Legacy and the SEER2 ratings (when applicable).
NOTE: AHRI data will only be displayed for Live equipment.
When is the AHRI information displayed?
If a system returns only a Legacy AHRI rating we, will only show the Legacy ratings.
If a system only returns a M1 AHRI rating, we will only show the M1 AHRI rating.
If a system returns both Legacy AHRI and the M1 AHRI ratings, we will show both ratings.
If a system does not return an AHRI match we will not show any AHRI ratings.
