Creating Commercial Quotes with Packaged Unit Systems

The packaged unit system type enables you to create and present light commercial and commercial quotes using the same fast and efficient workflow as a standard residential quote. Review the information below to learn how to set up and build a proposal for a commercial packaged unit—whether you're using live equipment data or custom equipment.

Live Equipment

If you're working with live equipment, start by ensuring the equipment is active in your account:

Step One: Activate Equipment

Navigate to: Office → Equipment → Live Equipment
Locate and activate the specific series you need:

Step Two: Set Up Bundles

Once the equipment is activated, make sure you have at least one bundle configured for the capacity you want to offer.

Go to: Equipment → Bundle Manager --> Packaged Unit
Create at least one bundle for the desired capacity:

Step Three: Build a Consultation

Last but not least, build a consultation and select the Packaged Unit system type along with the appropriate capacity, then drag the desired bundle into the desired Proposal Options:

Custom Equipment

If the equipment is custom equipment you will first need to add the equipment.

Step One: Create the equipment

Go To: Equipment --> Custom Equipment --> Create packaged unit

Fill out the necessary details and add your model numbers (up to 25 tons):

Step Two: Set Up Bundles

Once the equipment is created, make sure you have at least one bundle configured for the capacity you want to offer.

Go to: Equipment → Bundle Manager --> Packaged Unit
Create at least one bundle for the desired capacity.

Step Three: Build a Consultation

Last but not least, build a consultation and select the Packaged Unit system type along with the appropriate capacity, then drag the desired bundle into the desired Proposal Options. Make sure you click on the Custom tab to access the custom equipment:
