In this tutorial, we will explore the implementation the Text Only option to allow your customers to easily select their preferred payment method for the proposal. This can provide clarity for both you and the customer regarding their intended payment method for the proposal:

How to create a Text Only Option

To create a Text Only option navigate to the Office. Inside the settings menu, select the Finance Options tab:

Click the Add Finance button and choose the Text Only option:

This is where you can create your Text Only option.

The Label Name is the name that is displayed to you and your team when selecting which financing/text options you want to offer the consumer.

The Financing Mark-up is used to account for any additional fees that you wish to be associated with this option.

The Display Text Value is not used for text only. However the field still requires text. We recommend using the same text as the disclosure text short below.

The Disclosure Text Short is the text that will display to the consumer on the presented proposal. Think of this as the title of the option.

The Disclosure Text Long is any additional text or information you wish to explain to the consumer.

In my example below, I created a Text Only option to represent if the consumer plans on paying with cash or check:

Click save once you are done creating your Text Only option(s).

How to offer these plans to your customer

Navigate to the summary tab after building a consultation. Under the "Select Primary Financing" tab you can select the payment options you want displayed to the consumer.

In the example below, I select the 0% for 36 months to be my primary financing option. Then selected the additional options I want to be available to the consumer:

The financing mark-ups on the financing & text only options must be the same in order to offer the plans together. Learn more here.

How are the options displayed to the consumer?

Now the consumer can select the method of payment that best fits their budget:
